Favourite Animals

 With my Class 4 students I've recently revised the names of animals and introduced them to the comparison of short adjectives in English. I've included a short video, a poem, different online games, and a video story about the Short-Necked Giraffe. For my students who had problems accessing the  video, I made the flip version of the book.

The worksheet I've made was my way of checking if and how much they understood the story. I've asked them to submit the screenshot showing the result, and they also shared their comments on Edmodo.

Later, I also asked them to describe their favourite animals. They could use this text as an example.

- sorting game;

- crossword;

- matching game;

- true or false game;

- noughts & crosses;

- wordsearch;

- quiz.

Bringing books to life

 Edpuzzle has proved to be just the right thing for bringing books to life, flipping lessons, encouraging children to start reading, to read for pleasure and develop their reading and writing skills.

Here are a few interactive videos I've created and shared with my Class 4 students:
- St Patrick's Day;
- Earth Day Every Day;
- The Rainbow Fish
.

I hope your students will enjoy these stories, too.

Food

 The Food topic where my Class 4 students were supposed to review food items, and also countable and uncountable nouns, use different web tools and improve their language, collaboration and digital skills, planned to be organised at school, in stations, had to move online.

First, I asked them to join the online survey and write their favourite food. Then, I shared with them the video, and a number of online games I created, including the example of an online text about a favourite sandwich they could use to decribe their favourite sandwich or write their own recipes.

- online flashcards game;

- sorting game;

- matching game;

- multiple choice game;

- guessing game;

- matching game.

Easter Challenges

My Class 4 students accepted and really enjoyed this year's Easter Challenges. I'm sharing just a few of their works.

They made Easter bunnies using socks and paper rolls, Easter baskets and pompom chicks, an Easter Egg collage, a mobile with several Easter symbols, decorated their Easter hats, created Easter cards and baked Easter muffins.

We also sent online Easter cards to each other.

Telling the Time

 Some time ago my older students created a few online games using LearningApps to help their friends solve the problems with telling the time.

 I've recently shared these games with my younger students and they enjoyed playing them:

- What's the time? - match the clock with the time;

- What time is it? - choose the correct time;

- What's the time? - match the times with the phrases;

- past or to - put the time into the correct group.

Hope your students will find them useful, too.

We held our first students meeting with more than 35 students and teachers:) I am so glad to have you all in the team.
You made that meeting very meaningful and unforgettable experience for all the students.
We were all INSIDE our homes but managed to go OUT for an hour and a half. We showed that we are united through this project even if we are in different countries
YOU WERE AMAZING!!!
(I was dealing with uploading the videos on youtube. You know they were long and I didn't want to cut any one of them. That's why I am a little bit late to share :))
Thanks a bunch !!!!
INSIDE OUT PRODUCTION PROUDLY PRESENTS :)))

We are making an online meeting on 06.04.2020 at 18.30 CET with the students on ZOOM. Please inform your students about the event.
Here are the points we talked before:
The general topic will be  'What's your talent? Show me your best!
It doesn't have to be a big one😉 They can sing a song, dance, show their favourite things, tell fun stories, tongue twisters, poems, family members, artcrafts, handcrafts, drawings, tricks ...etc. whatever they like I mean. The duration for each will be 30-60 sec !
Of course the teachers have to get involved with an activity, too🤩💃
And we should know what our students will exactly do? We should have a meeting with them beforehand, inform our students ( Please don't forget to tell them the ethics and inappropriate behaviours)
If the students feel shy about it, make them know they don't have to, it's optional!
 The main aim is to get to know each other well and meet the whole team :))

Saint Patrick's Day

I've shared with my Class 4 students the activity I made in Edpuzzle. They need to answer the questions correctly to watch the rest of the read aloud story about Saint Patrick's Day.

Saturday, March 14, 2020

Dear partners, as you all experience the harsh circumstances in your countries nowadays, you must have noticed that distance learning is a must for education all over the world. This is the main point our project deals within the scope of flipped classroom. So let's  try to be a little more active realizing the important role we have just by carrying out such a project to meet the needs of students in terms of English learning and ICT skills and start producing our tutorials, share with students and create individual vocabulary activities for now using different web 2.0 tools or apps. (Please check out the vocabulary task pages for the detailed information)
Please keep in touch and don't hesitate to share your ideas, proposals, requests etc.
Let's stay safe and  online; do our best to make our students engaged in the project activities on line via our virtual classes.
Inform us for any questions..
Loves and regards

Monday, March 9, 2020

Hello dear teachers,I think it's time to create our virtual classes for students. Because for the vocabulary task each school should have a tool and a tutorial made by the teacher. ( you can use simple English because each student in the project must be able to understand.)

Your vrtual classes may be a blog, google classroom, or any other online classes you would like. ( You can check out the Flipped Classroom slide on the pages to have an idea. Maybe your school has already one. You should organize a group of students in a class to give their assignments. You can name the class as INSIDE OUT.

 We will start to introduce the students the project's aim. What's expected from them? How they should work and collaborate etc. After our tutorials are ready we can start the activity. So please be quick and share your opinions with us.

We held the first teachers meeting with the partners it was a very useful meeting we gave opinions about the past and previous activities of our project!! Thanks for all your contributions...
